Hi I just recently purchased two hognose, a male yearling and a female yearling.
The person I perchased the male from said he was a slow starter and had to be fed scented pinkies in order to eat...but that she had got him to eat unscented pinkies before selling him.
Well, he has eaten nothing for me since I got him 2 weeks ago. I feed my young small snakes every 4 days so I have tried at least 4 times including today to get him to eat.
I washed the pinke, I brained the pinkie, I fed him in his box, I fed him in a delicup in his box, and I left it in with him overnight.I even had my frog that peed all over my hand while cleaning his habitat and rubbed a pinkie in that...no good.
What can I scent a pinkie with? I have E-mailed this person several times, but no answer.
Also the female does not eat either, but the friend I got her from told me this up front.
I raise kings, rats, milks, corns, and africans and have fussed and gotten food into them, but I am definately having a time with these little guys.
Thanks for any help
Nancy
