Here is a pic of one I hatched (named Melvin; I don't know why!) about three years ago and is just larger than the size of a softball. This is NOT an experiment in cruelty, but I've basically done nothing for this animal other than provide a place to live outside year round (Florida) that has Bahia grass to graze on (dug it's own burrow). The shell is very hard and the tortoise is in great shape from what I can tell so I'm going to leave well enough alone and let it just live it's life with no additional supplement from me.

I believe it may be Richard Fife that raised one (sulcata) ONLY on Mazuri tortoise diet and it too was absolutely perfect!!! It show there is more to this than what we think is 'the norm' for proper captive husbandry.
