What I like the most about every day gecko that I've owned so far is that they are quick to learn to eat from your fingers. Sometimes for me to take them out I would bait them with food and lead them to the next container. Whenever I tried to pick them up they would run until exhausted or get out of the tank and run some more.

I don't think it'll ever become easier so I only handle my herps when they are cold like before the lights come on. That way they are moving slower and will appeciate the wamrth of your hand enough to willingly hold on. Just don't be surprised if they run up your arm and climb onto your head.
