What Eric said about the "T-" lines (regular albino, high contrast, faded). As far as I've heard they are all the same mutation just with individual differences which are probably controlled by other genes just like normals vary in color and pattern.



I've actually had a hunch for years that caramel and regular albino might be alleles (different mutations of the same gene) and you might not get the expected normal looking double hets if anyone ever where to cross them. I'm excited about the Caramel X Lavender clutch because if all goes well it will likely be the first public reported results for a cross between any of what might turn out to be an allele group (regular albino, caramel, and lavender). Of course they might well be completely unrelated morphs and produce the expected normal looking double hets but at least we are making progress to find out.
