By "live pinkies", I assume you are referring to pinky mice. If so, that may well be your problem right there. Pinky mice are far to small for a baby BP. Their size and relative lack of movent do not interest your baby. You may not think so, but your baby can take a "hopper" sized baby mouse, about 3 weeks of age. I have found that some baby BPs are intimidated by the hoppers, so I start them with what I call "crawlers". Try and find some that are somewhere around two weeks old. Their eyes are just opening up, they have a good coat of fur, and are able to crawl about timidly. Try to find some dark in color....they seem to work better than white ones at first. After two or three meals on these, progress to hoppers, then small adult mice a couple of weeks later.
