Posted by: erico at Wed Jan 11 14:58:48 2006 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by erico ] It is hard to distinguish reiably between castaneus and subniger, as the head vermiculation, plastral pattern and constriction are a bit variable (and I've kept both species for many years). I would guess castaneus because of the minimal plastral constriction and because it is the most common import, but no guarantee. Rhodesianus would be incredibly unlikely. I have never seen one imported. | ||
