Turtle lighting question..............

Coralife makes some really nice metal fluorescent fixtures. I'm thinking about getting a couple for some of my turtle enclosures. The local pet store that sells them only sells the ones with the 50/50 light set up (one daylight, one actinic) because they sell a lot of salt water fish and corals. Now, I can buy the fixture and change the bulbs if I want to. My question is, will the actinic bulb in these fixtures hurt the eyes of the turtles after a while? I've heard maybe, but nothing for sure. Thanks
