Basilisks, Corytophanidae, are a family of forest-dwelling lizards, also called casquehead lizards or helmeted lizards, endemic to the New World. TAhe head crests are used in defensive displays, where the lateral aspect of the body is brought about to face a potential predator in an effort to look bigger.

Physignathus is a genus of large, diurnal, arboreal, agamid lizards, commonly known as water dragons. The two species are the Chinese water dragon P. cocincinus, and the Australian water dragon Physignathus is a genus of large, diurnal, arboreal, agamid lizards, commonly known as water dragons. The two species are the Chinese water dragon P. cocincinus, and the Australian water dragon P. lesueurii
