I hear male mating calls usually in the early morning hours and every once in awhile at dusk. On a two year old male you should be able to make out the V line of pores on the underneath between the legs, it may appear shiny or yellowish in color due to the waxy substance they excrete. These pores are much more prominent in males than females, missing will be the bulges at the base of the tail in male Tokays as compared to males of other Gecko species.
