Posted by: outdoorsman at Mon Sep 25 08:59:12 2006 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by outdoorsman ] Started a colony of lobster and dubia roaches to see how that would work out.Man, its hard to believe how the HL's go for them. They darn near knock over stuff to get to them.If I see them slowing down on eating(ants),like there bored, I can throw in a few roaches and bam there up and running again. The only drawback , trying to keep the larger HL from eating the smaller roaches for the smaller HL.The large one will actually grab them off my tweezers, or try to get Over my hand if i try to block it from the smaller ones roaches.Let me say here (disclaimer) these Hl's get fed well, they are not starving. Its funny, I can put ants in and they will grab one, grab one,if a roach is thrown in at this time, they will scatter sand to get to the roaches.Just some info on another food source. As a side note, seems the lobsters keep much better and muliply much faster, also much cleaner than crickets.scott.
