It is a native (and the only native) North American anole species, and I hear for the first time it is considered a pest (I am from EU). Brown anole is a pest, because it displaces the green one, the original species interconnected with its environment by millions of years of evolution. This is only a small example of the kind that caused major disasters in isolated areas worldwide: species introduced by man devastating original and priceless biodiversity.
