Love the shots, particularly the second. That expression is priceless.
Equipment: Nikon D70, Sigma 105 macro lens, compatible nikon digital flash (can't recall model) on an extension cord with wide-angle diffuser in place. Flash set on manual output.
In both of these photos I used one flash slightly off to the frog's left, with white umbrellas behind and to his right to help kick in some light. The settings were about F8 at 1/125th at iso 200.
This is one of the problems with using diffusers and reflectors with amphibians or shiny reptiles (mudsnakes come to mind). These lighting modifiers light up the whole critter and cause huge sheets of reflection. ----- Chris Harrison San Antonio, Texas
