My experience has shown me that even 6 week old hatchlings can handle a size above pinheads without issue. Mine are now several months old and about half of them can take the "small" size from Petsmart. The rest still get the even smaller sizes. I am lucky in that a couple of the local pet shops have about 5 sizes of crickets to choose from. Petsmart is either "Big" or "Small" which makes it more difficult.
