Kerry as long as your sulcata is well hydrated it shouldn't be a problem. Increase soakings to make sure its well hydrated. I assume you always have water in the enclosure. As far as sand goes it's not a good substrate by itself. Too dry. Mix it 50/50 with coconut coir (bed-a-beast). I use this and mist daily because it's so dry this time of year (New Yorker).
