Don't know who's paying attention out there, but we should all be aware of the proposed HB 3437 and HB 2928. Here is a link to an explanation of these two bills: (http://www.rexano.org/StatePages/OregonFrame.htm).
We strongly encourage you all to let your representatives know that you oppose these bills. Although we take very good care of the animals we sell, we give out care information with all animals and we don't sell crocodilians (what these two bills are essentially about), we don't want legislators telling us what we can and can't sell. And once the precedent gets set, what's next....big constrictors (like Portland and Multnomah County have prohibited), all venomous animals (like Washington state is doing), all non-native boas and pythons (like Texas is attempting to do)? Let's stop it now.
