Grrrr!! You don't when they don't want to move LOL!
Last night DH went to work so here I was by myself with a sulcata I can't pick up. So what did she do? Half of our driveway is caliche, sort of like a dirt road. She got under the company pickup truck, started trying to dig her way to China... although caliche is extremely hard & difficult to dig so she didn't get very far. She was right up against the inside of the front tire & wouldn't move for anything.. not even the promise of a bright red juicy strawberry. I generally don't feed her fruit but sometimes a strawberry works wonders as a lure.. not this time. I was so MAD!! I finally nudged her out by irritating her with a thick wooden dowel. I finally got her to move far enough away from that tire to back the truck up & away from her. She's such a brat! When she realized her cover wasn't coming back she got up, walked to her home where she belongs and went to bed, leaving me covered in sweat & white caliche dust. OH MAN I need a hydrolic tortoise lift!! Can someone please invent one for me? LOL ----- PHRatz
