Posted by: TylerStewart at Sun Jul 15 20:02:14 2007 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by TylerStewart ] I've got a few small sulcatas running around in my yard here in Las Vegas, and my female around 12" length has moisture on the sides of her face, and it seems to be coming from her eyes. It's not a mucus and doesn't look bad (unhealthy)... The eyes are clear and functional, just looks like water. Is this from too much moisture in the diet? Maybe a way to ward off excessive heat? Her nose is clear (no foam in the nose or mouth) and she eats like crazy and is extremely active. They've got 5,000 square feet to run on of mostly dry, desert dirt, with a mud puddle and plenty of shade if they want it. They're fed a diet of mixed greens daily. It's somewhat if a wet diet (chopped collard greens, romaine, spinach, corn, carrots, etc with a commercial tortoise diet mixed in). Should I stick to something dry? Any imput on the water around the eyes (if it's even a problem) would be helpful! [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Show Entire Thread ] | ||
