I've recently purchased an albino Pac-man frog. He his housed in a 10 gallon tank with bed-a-beast soil as the substrate, some fake plants, a shallow water dish, and a half a log for shelter (purchased from the pet store). I've been feeding him crickets so far. He's been eating well, is alert, growing and seems healthy (and boy, is he cute!). Tonight, I was enoying watching him chow down and was looking at his habitat when I noticed these tiny white things moving around in his water. And I mean really tiny. Then I noticed that they were also in the soil, and on the log. Yikes!!!! What are they and where did they come from??? Will a throrough cleaning and srubbing, replacing the substrate etc with hot water be enough? The only thing I can think of was that I tried to feed him a wax worm with tweezers and the worm let a few drops of something out while trying to escape. Just thought it was worm poop.
