I don't use this camera but most opinions of those who do are favorable. You might read the D80 review on dpreview and ask your questions on the Nikonians D80 forum. I'm sure you'll learn a bunch about the camera.

Have you guys heard about the recently announced Nikons (D300 and D3)? I bet you see a bunch of used D200 for sale soon, and a priced drop in new older Nikon bodies.
