Yea, I didn't want to invest in an incubator if the eggs are not even fertile! Well, the eggs haven't gotten any worse looking, but they do not appear to be any better either. We are trying not to disturb them, just checking every few days that the substrate is moist and they get some fresh air (there are air holes, but still). I can't imagine they were in the store tank long, the girl was surprised when I told her (then looked in the wrong tank for them, shows how much they know!). I saw a picture either on here or on RepticZone of some fresh eggs, and they looked A LOT better than the ones I rescued. So, we are almost 5 days in now, if they don't start filling out or something, we will let them 'incubate' the way they are until they start to degrade. But, heck, they are at least getting a chance now.
