A friend of mine produced sulcattas that hatched out 3 days ago.. I was told that one would be mine. Well yesterday my friend sold the whole clutch and called me to tell me to come pick mine out before they are all gone so I went..I picked out the biggest most active one he had the egg sack is just about completely upsorbed just a tiny nub on his belly left of it.. I have had larger sulcattas and LOTS of snakes and lizards.. I set up the hatchling in a 10gallon with a UVB light on paper towel with a moist wash clothe on the cool side of the tank a rubbermaid top as a water dish and one of those black plastic snake hide boxes.. Since he has been home yesterday after noon he hasn't moved much.. He drank a little bit of water off my finger and that's it he hasn't began to eat yet.. I only offered him a small amount of cut of romaine lettuce. He was very active on the way home from my friends running around the small rubbermaid like a mad man.. Is this normal? When can I exspect him to eat when should I worry? I did some research on the web but its very limited info about hatchlings... Any tips or help would be much appreciated thank you in advance..
