I live in NY and have access to warm weather (appropriate sulcata weather) about 3 months out of the year. Right now, my baby sulc is about 4 months old, at 2.5 inches small. He is in a glass enclosure (L48" x W13" x H12". Lighting/heating is a ZooMed Halogen lamp that gives off some UV and 95F on the warm end. The cool end is 85F in the day. Substrate is bed-a-beast mixed with play-sand near the warm end of the enclosure and dry orchard grass hay on the other half of the enclosure; he has a water dish under the heat lamp (which he loves to walk into frequently--and actually takes short naps in), a half-log hide dry inside on the cooler end; and his current daily feedings are coming from the unfertilized backyard grass and edible weeds; and every other day feeds on chickory, escharole and kale, weekly apples, carrots, or squash and a weekly sprinkle of calcium/D3 powder (ReptoCal). Here's the question (as you can see in the title of this thread), now, I know that each animal is an individual, but what might be the growth rate for a sulcata in this region with this mentioned regime?
