We adopted Bugsy last weekend. A local resident raised him from a baby and passed away recently. He's 15 years old, over a hundred pounds and a wrecking ball! I've been toirtoisizing my back yard all week. I wish I had my camera when my dogs saw him. I've never seen them so freaked out. I had to build a large wall to separate them. We also have a 2 year old sulcata and four desert tortoises in a rearing pen. If you're thinking about getting a sulcata or raising up a small one please please please find someone who has one and go see they're setup and care requirements first hand before you get yourself in too deep. He moved my large metal BBQ, picnic table and stacked logs. I have two Rottweilers and I have to clean up more after the tortoise than my dogs.
