Posted by: Lucien at Thu Jul 23 00:48:43 2009 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Lucien ] Okay.. this is a little wierd. I found this treefrog on my door tonight right under my light. Now normally, I find Spring Peepers there, this one is vastly different. The only one that comes close to this frog's looks is the Bird Voiced Treefrog (Hyla Avocova?? Could have the latin name off a bit). The wierd part is still to come... I live in Northeastern Vermont. From everything I've read, I'm way outside this one's natural range and the other odd thing is, it seems we have a small breeding colony of these in my back yard along with some freakishly huge Bufo Americanus. Anyone... I'm looking to see if anyone can tell me for sure if this little guy is a bird voiced treefrog or if I'm just seeing things wrong.
