Is this the recommended method to keep dogs away from venomous snakes?
http://ridgewood-kennels.com/services/desnake.shtml

It seems unnecessarily cruel to the rattlesnakes used:

"The snakes used are rattlesnakes which have been defanged and have had their mouths stapled shut with surgical staples"

I'm not really a fan of snakes but this seems ridiculous.
