I've had several Mali Uros over the past 10 years or so. When molting, every single one's eyes did shed. The skin is extremely thin over the eyelids and they scratch the area over a rock or piece of wood in the cage so it comes off pretty easily. I don't know, however, if this has anything to do with brumating. I would guess not, as the skin around the eyes always sheds with all the other skin on their bodies, which of course will shed whether they're coming out of brumation or not.
