Uro's are definitely more of an observation pet. I have noticed between the 3 species I keep.. mali, geyri (also called saharans) and ocellata (also called sudanese) that the geyri are the most active.

If you get a captive bred uro, it will tolerate handling much more then wild caught for sure. My mali and geyri are CB and they will accept food from my hand.. my ocellata are WC are will hide when i open the enclosure doors even to put food in or clean the enclosure.

They are fairly hardy and as long as you provide a large enough enclosure, proper temps and the right diet.. they will be very healthy
