lighting/ wiring question

I am about to build a new inclosure for my trio of ackies. My problem lies in the heating/ lighting. I want to mount 2 or 3 bulbs in a row inside the cage. Would a regular porcelain light socket work? Also how exactly should I wire them? Thank you
