health issues are what good husbandry is intended to avoid.

With that said, you always worry about health issues. There are no magic tricks or buttons to push to automatically not have something occur.

UV bulbs are actually worthless other then they can add color to the cage which the keeper may like. Its not about the monitor.

Your job as a keeper is to guide your animal throught a maze of possible problems. That is your job. And its not automatic.

All monitors are constantly changing. They start as babies and grow up, get mature, reproduce, get old and die. That takes around 15 years. a decent average varanid lifespan.

During that fifteen years, they have different requirements that you must provide.

The biggest problem is you the keeper are more apt to negleck the animal sometime during that fifteen years and you are the cause of problems.

The best advice I could give you, is to change your mindset to an approach that allows you to change husbandry as needed as your animals grow and age. And during the different life events they naturally have. Good luck
