>>Given the current economic status and political climate of a government who seems to care more about the interests of large corporations than of it's people, I give it about two years in this country before people's pet reptiles are the least of the government's worries.
>> I kind of like that quote that I think was from bill nelson in a recent story where he said "People aren't lining up at wal-mart to buy snakes". No mr. nelson they aren't, but apparently they are lining up to buy guns and ammo. If he wasn't such a moron he would be more concerned about that. I live in the country people just don't hunt THAT much these days.
>> I'm kind of glad I do live in the country because when it all hits I'll hopefully have enough time to get the hell out before it comes my way.

Either way, it doesn't look good for our beloved hobby. Let's face it, if we have to plan a revolution and/or protect ourselves from mobs and rampant crime, snake keeping, as much as we love it, will not be a priority for most of us. That's what I'm trying to say. These idiotic reptile laws and reptile-related tyrannical behavior by unaccountable gov't workers and agencies are not the problem; they are a symptom of a much, much bigger problem. I found this quote on a Libertarian website, it's awesome:

"In the political arena; until we overcome the paradigm of Republican Vs. Democrat, Red Vs. Blue, and Left Vs. Right we can never overcome our true enemy.....an ever-expansive, all consuming, central government. And until we realize that those who use that government to impose their beliefs on us are justified by our tendancy to do the same, we will not know peace or liberty."
-Brent lawler

Regarding guns and ammo, I never even held a gun until about year ago. I'm a pretty good shot now, though.
