Join the South Florida Herp Society for its February meeting featuring Shawn Heflick as the guest speaker.

7:00 pm on 2/1/14 at 310 S Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida.

Shawn has a Masters Degree in Conservation Biology/Marine Biology. He has traveled around the world exploring untamed places. Some highlights have been diving with Great White sharks in South Africa, roaming the hills of Komodo Islands with dragons, wrangling giant Green Anacondas in the Amazon, cavorting with Saltwater Crocs in Borneo and elephant back excitement in Zimbabwe, South Africa and Sumatra. He has been featured on PBS Nature's Python Invasion, the Travel Channel's Bizarre Foods, Smithsonian Channel's Titaniboa, Time Magazine, Time Magazine for Kids, National Geographic and Nat Geo WILD's show The Python Hunters. His talk on Saturday evening is titled, "Reptile Conservation, Filming and Fun Around the World".
