Black rattlesnakes. And we can then move on from there. In short, they are the opposite of solitary. But like other social animals, it means there are individuals IN the group and individuals, outside the group. Again, similar to other social species including ours. Transient individuals do not have permanent shelters and are most likely the easiest individuals to locate. So folks follow around transient animals and think the rest are like them.
