Also I'm not sure what you mean by "not hibernating". I understand that hibernating traditionally means a long period of cooling but what about running a background temp of say 55F while maintaining a hotspot of 90F ? That would not be hibernation in the traditional sense but it would still be quite different from running a continuous background temp of 75F with a hotspot of 90F .
