The answer you received was a good one. Probe it. As you now know, A simple search will reveal extensive information. The point is not about that, its about your intentions. Your wrong. Its about that simple. The best thing you could have done is leave that kingsnake alone, If your goal was to control rattlesnakes. Besides the fact that cal kings are not really obligate Rattlesnake feeders. As you have seen or will see, they live together without problem. No one cares if your a misfit, against the establishment etc. The next point is, releasing snakes into habitats where they already exist, is a really bad idea. Which is why they outlawed it. You do not want to learn why, you just want to say and do what you want to do. Which also has nothing to do with this forum. Cal kings, are not endangered, or threatened, they are impacted by development. Where the habitat was destroyed. Where these is habitat, even in the middle of cities, they thrive. And without added numbers. If you want to increase the population on our property, Take another approach. Increase habitat that benefits them. You know, like AC piles and don't destroy more of their micro-habitat. About kingsnakes, another question you should have asked. They eat other snakes, including, other kingsnakes. So if there are kingsnakes still there, then all your going to is feed them the neonates you hatched. You can test this, hatch a clutch of kings, keep them in the same cage, if not straved, they will be fine, Then introduce a cal king from another clutch. It will be consumed right away. You see, there is a reason each local of kingsnakes is individual. They recognize each other as family units, not by species, that is a human concept. So lets talk about the reality of your project and what is important. Not spear guns. And there are no clicks, in fact, there is no body here. hahahahahahaha
