While I am comfortable doing the the zinc thing...I'm not sure if the owners would like me messing with an acid on their bird stuff no matter how kind they are :-p. I don't mind buying a new one if I do get him anyway. I thought if I did get him that it'd make him feel better to have that old cage for now. and then transition to a new one.
