Hi There,

Welcome to the Board!

It isn't unusual for neutered male cats to mount things and/or other animals. This seems to be more common when males are neutered as adults. However, my oldest boy, Timothy, was neutered as a kitten and has always been a mounter. This behavior doesn't bother me as long as he isn't mounting one of the other cats.

There is a possibility that a cat that is suddenly mounting may have a urinary tract infection or even crystals. For this reason, I highly recommend a visit to the vet, not only for an exam, but to have a urinalysis done. I would do this ASAP so that if treatment is needed it can start right away.

Please keep us updated on how your kitty does.

Regards,
PHKitkat
