Talk about a sticky situation. Too bad both vets are such patooties! Your cat really does need follow-up surgery to see if some ovarian tissue is present. There is a very real danger of cancer down the line - not to mention the inconvienience of having a cat going into heat after you've paid good money to prevent this.

If there is no other recourse or other vets for you to visit, then perhaps you should contact your state's veterinary licensing board and see where to file a complaint.
