FIP is not tramsmittable between cats, very unlikely. Most cats are born or develop the virus as tiny kittens due to exposure to a coronavirus, most can fight it off, but some whose immune systems cannot fight it, force to coronavirus to mutate to FIP (either wet or dry)It is always fatal and there is nothing you can do, even the test for it are not reliable and many kittens have been misdiagnosed and euthanized because of it. The only difinative test is a biopsy or a necropspy (autopsy of a cat after death).
