A prawn diet over a short period of time won't hurt your cat. If you can feed him uncooked prawns this might be better, but watch for spoilage.

You are right to keep working with the vet to be sure he does OK! Keep up that relationship and if anything happens that you feel is unusual or scary, don't hesitate to contact your vet or an emergency vet after hours.
