Hi,

Your baby is critically ill and she should be hospitalized on IV fluids, force-feeding, and injectable antibiotics, not an oral med when she isn't eating. Her bloodwork may have looked good earlier in the week, but it sounds to me like her kidneys are failing, and she may be developing fatty liver disease from not eating. This is why you shouldn't let a cat go more than a day or two if they stop eating. I'm surprised your vet didn't say something about this.

The stones and/or crystals in the urine may be a result of dehydration. Your cat must be seriously dehydrated at this point.

I know how tough it is having senior cats. I have one now with probable intestinal cancer, being kept comfortable on steroid injections, and another one with kidney failure. This cat gets fluids and Pepcid to keep her comfortable.

There isn't much you can do on your own, but you can try offering your kitty strained meat baby food, without onion added, and possibly Pepcid AC, regular strength, 1/4 tablet once or twice daily. But I still think hospitalization is the best thing for her.

Please keep us updated.

Regards,
PHKitkat
