Hi There,

It's good that you actually witnessed a seizure, but I am sorry that Tippy has been having them. It's very difficult to witness a seizure of any kind, and as you know, it's not easy on the cat either. The "good" thing is that an animal or human having a seizure isn't aware of it.

Chances are that the cause of the seizures is a type of epilepsy, and that they will be controlled by the Phenobarb. It sometimes takes awhile to determine the correct dose, so please don't become discouraged if the seizures continue for the time being.

It is a good idea to look for other possible causes, just in case, and I am glad that your vet is doing this. I'll be sending prayers and GLOW that nothing else will be wrong with Tippy.

Please keep us updated on how he does.
