Stanley went in for his six month check up. It went very well.

His brain swelling is still very much under control by the low daily dose of steroids -- and his other values (liver and sugar) that can be affected by steroids are in normal ranges. She said it could well stay under control for quite a while. It is amazing he has had no problems in the last 10 months since the inital dizziness.

His early kidney failure is still just that -- early. The values have hardly budged in the past year. I changed his diet last year and it has helped significantly slow the progression. She said he is a long way from any symptoms -- could be a couple years before he starts having problems...

Pretty good news all around.
