A hypo will do nicely, and they are available.

A hypo flame will even have some red colors mixed in. That IMO is the most desirable hypo if they have any there.

Like anything, there will always be individuals in any clutch that might be brighter as adults and some that will not be as bright. Because Florida kings change so much in color from baby to adult, it is not always easy to know looking at a baby. With a hypo, at least you know for sure that there will be a significant reduction of dark pigment as an adult. Some breeders do have normal strains that have better color. Tell your friend to ask the breeder at the show.

Florida kings can be the most calm, tame adult kingsnakes out there. They do have a food response however, especially the young ones.
