I've oftentimes found myself wondering this in recent years following covid. Are herp societies dying out? With the Internet, social media, and perhaps too many shows/expos, has this replaced the need for people to go to meetings and become "members"? Has there been an attitude shift from during covid to where people have become too used to doing everything at home from their computer screens without the need to go out?

I'd be curious to hear anyone else's thoughts as well.
