As a very occasional meal a quality dog food such as Iams or Science Diet would be okay. You're right in that they're better than cat food, but not because of less fillers, but because dog food is generally lower in fat than cat food. Have you tried feeding crickets to your lizard? Keep trying to offer different fruits and veggies - most Sudans , will eat a fair amount of plant matter. Mine originally didn't go for plant matter at first but the more it was offered the more they accepted it and now it's a major portion of their diet along with live insects.
