Hello my beautiful baby redfoot arrived this morning. I've decided to refer to it as "she" for the time being. She was soaked outside and then given some chopped squash and mixed greens. She is eating like a pig. The problem is when I put her in the new tortoise home she started trying to munch on everything. She has food available but is trying to eat the moist moss in her hide and she even has crawled on top of her log to get to the plastic plants hanging in the back for decoration! I removed the plastic plants but what about the moss? Her substrate is a sand type substance that is made of ground walnuts and her hide spot is very moist Fluker's" natural moss. Should I be worried or change the substrate to something different? Please help....My baby is literally trying to eat everything!!!!
