Matt, he does have a good point. I set the prices on my lanceheads or other snakes I breed to what I think THEY are worth. If people choose not to buy them, then fine. The price rises the longer I keep and feed them, (more maintenance, food etc.=larger size) There are a few other people who import from the same folks you do in Costa Rica, so it's not like you have a market on them.
The value YOU place on animals is, what YOU think they are worth, regardless if you know what they paid for them. Just because the other person marks his percentage up two or three times what you know he paid for them, doesn't mean he is a fly-by-night dealer or a person taking advantage of the market, it means he is setting a price that he is willing to let them go for. I know when you read this, you'll understand my point and hopefully Ernies.
