I know what your saying. In an old publication on these from the late 1800's or early 1900's (don't remember off hand) they described the morph and how variable it is. Some are completely red while others have less red then a regular wild type red-back.



This population of red-backs has all three morphs; normal, lead-phase, and erytheristic.
