HB783 is in the state Senate

HB783 narrowly made its way out of the Senate Natural Resource Committee meeting via a 3 to 2 vote. Ironically, if Senators Nick Gautreaux and Michot had been there instead of other committee meetings, they would have joined Senators Barham and Romero in getting the bill tabled in committee. HB783 now goes to the Senate floor where it will be vigorously opposed in its current form. Call 225-342-2040 and let the Senators there know that you are opposed to the bill.
