They are in all liklihood California Kingsnakes, not Desert Kings (splendida).

In Linux, you can use The GIMP to resize images.
In Windows, I think MS Paint can resize an image.
Not sure about Mac OS X - but I suspect it comes with something to resize images.

Of course, if you have photoshop or photoshop CE you can use those programs to resize an image.
